Shimla

Chandigarh-Shimla-Kufri

We had went to Shimla via Chandigarh to celebrate our boys, Shubhrat's and Gaurav's bachelors, and man o man it was one fun trip. We reached chandigarh amid farmers strike and observed almost all transport and roads were closed during day time. We somehow reached our hotel by EOD. Although we had only one evening in chandigarh before leaving for shimla next morning, we tried to make the most out of it and went for club and bar hopping. It all seemed worth once we reached shimla the next day. What asurreal feeling and views it were. Snow-capped Himalayan peaks and green pastures surround Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Enjoy a heritage walk through Shimla’s Victorian-era architecture, labyrinthine bazaars and lengthy pedestrian shopping mall. Don’t cause too much trouble taking in the town from Scandal Point, a large, open square; keep in mind that Shimla was a retreat destination for Mahatma Gandhi, who frequented a Georgian mansion in Shimla’s suburbs from the mid-1930s to '40s. Kufri is a small hill station in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh state in India. It is the starting point of treks to Fagu, Shimla, Manali and Rewalsar. Kufri, along with Chail and Shimla forms the famous Golden Triangle of Himachal Pradesh. Yearly winter sports festival is held here in February, which is a major attraction for the tourists. If you are into rides and adventure, Kufri Fun World fits the bill. It is an amusement park having a number of enjoyable rides for the kids.
